General description:

This is a two-storey house comprising of 22 X 30 Main Block with 10 X 30 wing. The rectangular main block, two-gable end facade with rectangular window in apex of low angled roof which has protruding tie beam decorations. The building has shallow roof porches on two sides with balustrade and slender square posts as supports.

Significance of the property:

This is one of the few houses left in West Hartford of this period reminiscent of the extensive farmlands once occupying the area.

Relationship with the Surroundings:

The building is sited at the corner of a busy intersection- Braeburn Road and Mountain Road. The house 'settles' into the landscape, on slight down slope of road.
